This morning (NL time) I was interviewed by Suze Ingram. Suze is running a new project around Service Design called the Service Design Hub. “Service Design Hub is a place to find blogs, articles, papers, books, links and videos about service design”
A thing that has been on the 31Volts list for quite a while is to translate our website to English. As you may notice it’s still work in progress. So the interview was nice opportunity to share some of our projects, the history of 31Volts and my ideal service design project.
About 5 years ago I met 31Volts co-found Marcel (a product designer) in the office building where we both worked. We collaborated on a concept project together and we really enjoyed it. We then stumbled on service design and noticed that the process was similar to what we were both used to. We loved the idea that design could be applied to intangible things. This lead to 31Volts (”31″ is the international calling code for the Netherlands).
You can read the whole interview at the Service Design Hub.
Thanks for the talk Suze, I’m really looking forward to other interviews!
